| Saturday Rail Service, 'Rapid After Dark' Begin |

Two transit systems are offering expanded summertime service, starting this weekend.
The New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter train, which normally only operates on weekdays, will start its Saturday summer schedule, with this first Saturday fare-free.
The first train leaves Downtown Albuquerque at 8:18 a.m. and the last leaves the same station at close to 10 p.m.
The weekend service will be in place through Labor Day. After this weekend, a flat $2 fare will be charged Saturdays.
In addition, ABQ Ride will launch its well-known "Rapid After Dark" service, beginning today.
Regular bus fares are $1 a trip, and bus passes will be accepted. ABQ Ride is also selling a $15 "Rapid After Dark" VIP pass that covers trips on the late-night service all summer and offers discounts to some restaurants and businesses.
"Rapid After Dark" service will be in place until Sept. 21.
