Workers' Fair to Provide Workers, Students, and the Out-of-Work with Variety of Powerful Resources and Information
On 9/9/09, the Michigan Leadership Workshop, a project of the Working Families Win campaign, will host the first-ever Workers' Fair in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Workers' Fair will make available in one place information and tools to help workers:
- Win fair wages, benefits
- Achieve better working conditions
- Resolve problems in the workplace
- Impact public policy affecting workers
The Workers' Fair will also bring together resources for the out-of-work and those looking to start new careers, including college students:
- Careeer counseling
- Job placement and re-training resources
- Unemployment benefits information
